Yesterday my Father-in-law, Ryan, and I went Skiing and Snowboarding at Hemlock Valley Resort. It was a perfect day – sun was out and there was little wind. Having grown up living near and snowboarding at Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario, it is such a treat to have family out west in B.C. to do some snowboarding at a real mountain. Even though Hemlock is considered one of BC’s smallest mountains to ride on, it still puts all of Ontario’s hills to shame! I’m hoping to go Snowboarding with Sonya’s uncle, Ross, and his two girls – Ashley and Alex, on January 3rd. We will definitely have to either go to Mount Baker in Washington State, or Cypress, Grouse Mountain, or another larger mountain to get a real taste of what BC has to offer
