Summer Weirs Lane Lavender Engagement Photography… We had been wanting to photograph in a lavender field for quite some time now, but had not yet found a couple who wanted it. So when Alex told us that she had approached Wier’s Lane Lavender Farm and Apiary about having her engagement portraits taken there, we were thrilled! Alex initially discovered the farm when she found their booth at a local market. It was our first time hearing about the Dundas area farm. Upon arrival, the Wier’s were friendly and welcoming, showing us the different areas of their property where we could photograph. Alex and Paul were naturals together in front of the camera, and the golden light as the sun began to set was perfect. Rows of fragrant lavender ran out from the stucco and terracotta tiled home, reminding us of something you would see in France or Italy. Honey bees and crickets could be heard all around as we explored the property, documenting Alex and Paul taking in the romantic scene. The pair have a genuine sweetness between them, a shared adoration and respect for one another that sets them apart from many others. We are so excited for their upcoming wedding!
PS: Thank you to the Weir’s for keeping their farm store open for us after the shoot! We love our Wier’s Lane sleepyhead pillow spray and drank all of our Rooibus with Lavender tea (we really need to buy more because it is our new favourite).
